New Nik by DXO Plugins

Nik Software is now updated. Silver Efex 3 and Viveza 3. All other plugins can be configurated in the panel except those two, even via actions. Configurator can open both but when returning to Photoshop none of changes made in them are saved. Don’t know if the new „apply“ instead of „OK“ button of silver efex 3 or Viveza 3 has anything to do with it. If you have a workaround I would be very grateful, Configurator Reload has been „My Panel“ during these years.

Hi Adriano,

I now tested Silver Efex 3 and Viveza 3. Even if I’m calling these filters from Filter > Nik Collection > Silver Efex 3, making some changes and clicking on Apply nothing happens. Seems to be a Nik Collection problem.

It seems to work if the PS layer is a smart object.

Nope. Does not work for me. Rasterized or smart Object, same error occurs

The buttons which show this error are Viveza, Silver Efex and Analog Efex.

Any advice?

I can’t reproduce the error. Have you added the filters with the tequniqe ad described here https://pixelsucht.net/configurator-reloaded-photoshop-panel/forums/topic/how-to-adding-third-party-filters/ ?

You MUST do it for the newest version of the NIK filters.

It is indeed neccesary to convert your layer into a smart Object first. They do not apply to a rasterized layer.

Not the most convenient but hey, it works so far as workaround. 🙂
Will you be able to fix this in a future release?

Otherwise the Configurator works like a charm and is worth every penny!!

This is not a problem of Configurator Reloaded. It’s a problem of the NIK filters because the same happens even if you call the filters from the normal filter menu.

Not over here. From filter menu all works well! Maybe it is Ps itself?
